40 YEARS ON THE THRONE, NOT EASY MPEZENI

Paramount Chief MPEZENI of the Ngoni of Eastern Province says the 40 years he has been on the throne has had some challenges and wonderful moments.

Paramount Chief MPEZENI says leading and guiding people in his Chiefdom is not an easy task but that he has managed to govern his chiefdom by the grace of God.

He has advised young people to be patient as they seek success and not engage in dubious activities.

Meanwhile, Paramount Chief MPEZENI has called for enhanced tourism activities in the area as it brings in revenue in the country.

He has called on the Ministry of Tourism to enrich the Nsingo Community Museum to attract more tourists.

Paramount Chief MPEZENI was speaking in an interview with ZNBC News shortly before his precession from Ephendukeni Palace to Kampala Village.

  1. Just what value has this chieftaincy added to zambia’s modern cosmopolitan society. His dressing for these events is a circus and makes him appear a ridiculous joke. Does the money spent in organising this event grow the economy of 5his area? I doubt it for year in year out they beg for donations to host the event. These events, traditionally speaking, were financed by the local people the Ngonis; not begging from outside their tribe in order to host it. Shameful!

    • Ba @Ndine, not everything is measured in monetary terms. Do you understand what the Nc’wala ceremony is all about?

If you do not, then find out before criticising. The ceremony is not about growing the economy.

Congratulations your royal highness for clocking fourty years on the throne.
