Faith Musonda

The K65,333,046 and US$57,950 the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) recovered from Faith Musonda has been handed over to the ministry of education’s student loan program.

Secretary to ACC Ivor Munkwanka said on behalf of Acting Director General Silumesi Mushuma that the K6.5 worth house in which the money was found will also be handed over to the state.

He said this when he handed over the money to Finance Minister Dr Situmbeko Musokotwane who in turn handed over the funds to General Education Minister Douglas Syakalima today.

Meanwhile, Dr Musokotwane said the New Dawn Administration will continue recovering stolen assets.

He said the funds recovered from Faith will be used to benefit 2232 students who were left out on student loans due to budgetary constraints for the 2022 academic year.

The Minister said the recovery of the said funds is just the beginning of many other assets to be recovered and given back to the citizens.

And the move left Syakalima beaming as he disclosed that the youths have been going to his office crying over student loans
