Literally the only thing that any government can do for the country where we say the poorest are the beneficiaries is keep prices of electricity and fuel low. This is the one policy that has a domino effect on keeping the cost of living lower for Zambians. Nothing else that they can do beyond this can bring the cost of living down.

Im disappointed on this fuel and zesco issue because i actually believed what the president was saying when in the opposition. I saw the numbers and they made sense and i believed PF was only hiking prices so that they can continue stealing through Zesco and make money on fuel.

Im dissppointed because i believed our intelligence would lower the prices of these things which is the most beneficial thing for the most vulnerable members of our society.

We lied to them. Thats why im disappointed. If we would have said the truth we would have been prepared. But we lied and said we can do it differently and keep the prices of commodities low.

I wont excuse this lie or rationalize it. We lied to get votes. Thats it.

We said we wont do it. And we just did it. We were critical of PF on the same matter and said we would do it different and we have not. Thats it. I think explaining it just accentuates hypocrisy.

Im just going to accept that we championed one thing and we have done something else. Thats just the truth.

Wont even try to justify it. We lied.

Iwee, even in America, commodities have gone up. Limbi, iwee ku Atlanta, as for New York. It’s something else. It’s global mwilabepa abantu.

  2. We can not support nosense boss, let them cut middle men . How is the poor man going to leave if these two things are to be increased? Kalyalya work on kwacha not what you are talking . Bread we will buy at k50 once those things are to be increased.

  3. Dear Mr. President HH,
kindly relook in this matter of fuel pump price and electricity tariff upward adjustments. Hand more pressure on recovering stolen and hidden monies in homes and use that money to easy the economical burden and at the moment sir, you should be thinking of how to reduce cost of doing business in Zambia. Think of how to get back our monies which PF and the Chinese who captured the system of procurement and construction business in Zambia. Money is there, but your pace and the highway of recovering our stolen money is pathetic. Thieves are ever smiling as they can not feel the heat. The PF were very scared of you and there scare was not in vain but they knew what they did behind the door of authority. They shared animals and turned game parks as their own homes. You know this Sir, you are quiet and cant talk about the mess caused by the previous government. Govern the country with state laws not the Bible. The country is not church but a state with so many activities and characters. Stop the hike of fuel and electricity and shift that appetite to recover our money first.
    I submit

  5. Awe kena kabufi ka HH. Kabili kapakusabaila ka mambala. His lies are catching up fast with him. An association for the visually impaired in Kitwe was on this morning’s phonenix news complaining that the UPND cheated them that the country did not need Bill 10 for the physically challenged to serve in government. Yet HH has not appointed a single one of them among ministers, PSs and DCs. If this was not deception by ka HH, what is it UPND praise singers? Ala aka kantu ka HH ka bufi ka shokoto wa mupamba. Ni ka chengabupele akalaile imfumu umusengele wachela. Kamoneni ako no bufi bwakako.
