BARBARA’S MOTHER SPEAKS OUT

….I leave everything to God Almighty.

By Henry Kabunda and Alfonso Kasongo

Zambia’s hopes at the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations received a severe blow last Friday when Team Captain Barbra Banda was ruled out for medical reasons ,a day before the onset of the tournament.

But in an interview with CBC Television News, today, Barbara’s mother has expressed shock over the development saying she only leaves the situation to God Almighty.

The visibly emotional mother told the CBC News Crew that it is only the Copper Queens Coach Bruce Mwape and God Almighty, the creator who know the fact of the matter.

When asked how she received the development about the suspension of her daughter from participating in the tournament, emotionally affected mother refused to comment and promised to never talk to the media

Barbra, 22-year-old striker, came into spotlight at last year’s Olympics when scored back-to-back hat-tricks and was expected to lead the copper queens in Morocco during this year’s women’s continental Cup of nations.
