Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud Party says Arab parties committed electoral fraud

Israel’s Likud Party, led by Benjamin Netanyahu, says it will submit hundreds of witness statements to the police and Shin Bet domestic intelligence agency, including allegations that Arab parties committed electoral fraud.

Arab citizens of Israel have made history by winning 19 seats in parliament, potentially positioning them as kingmakers in an election that has left no party with a clear majority.

Likud’s move highlights the possibility that Arab parties could join an anti-Netanyahu coalition, potentially enabling an alliance led by retired General Gadi Eisenkot to form a government.

However, such an outcome would depend on whether Eisenkot’s bloc can secure Arab parties’ support for a political realignment aimed at ending Netanyahu’s rule.
