Former Defence Minister Davies Chama has been arrested.
The former criminal minister was nabbed this afternoon after a successful interrogation at Police Force Headquarters in Lusaka where Chama was summoned and questioned for 3 hours.
He has been arrested for attempted murder for his shooting of Mushaukwa Mushaukwa during the Mulobezi by-election in 2015.
“Davies Chama is a criminal of a dangerous nature. This is the criminal who shot at Mushaukwa at point blank [range] during the Mulobezi by-election. That’s purely attempted murder and he knows that. Chama and his friends had pushed their luck to far when they were in office and time has now come,” disclosed a source at Force Headquarters.
Mushaukwa suffered a gunshot wound after Chama fired at short range at him in Mulobezi in 2015. He was later rushed to Livingstone General Hospital but the PF again followed him and sneaked him out of the hospital to an unknown place where he was further tortured by the PF.
He is currently in police custody at Woodlands Police Station. But his friends in PF want to bribe Police Inspector General Remmy Kajoba to release Chama. PF want to give Kajoba K300,000 to release Chama but he has refused.
