Cameroon has dismissed claims that President Paul Biya has died.
The 93-year-old leader, who has been in power since 1982, is reported by the presidency to be in good health and continuing his official duties.
A senior aide pointed to a recently signed decree as evidence that Biya remains active in government, adding that the death of a head of state could not be kept secret.
Biya recently returned to Cameroon after more than ten weeks in Switzerland.
His long absences from public view have repeatedly sparked speculation about his health.
