Irate United Party for National Development members have ejected Charmaine Musonda from their national secretariat in Lusaka after word went round that she was among the people to be received back into the party.
The visibly agitated groups mostly women could not hold back their tempers when they heard that she had come through with intentions of rejoining the party which she had abandoned.
Some could not hold back their bitterness against party Secretary General Batuke Imenda for allowing Ms. Musonda to show her face at the secretariat.
After the situation became tense, Ms. Musonda was whisked away to her car by the party security team.
Earlier, the party welcomed renowned business woman and former PF Member Charity Lumpa to the UPND.
Mr. Imenda explained that due to the confusions brought about by the interests of Ms. Musonda to rejoin the party, all members that had left and wish to come back should do so in writing and allow lower structures to decide their fate.
