CHIPOLOPOLO PLAYERS MORE PROFICIENT ON SOCIAL MEDIA – JOEL
Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba is the only player in the October AFCON qualifier games against Chad who showed what it means to wear a Chipolopolo shirt, says ex-Zambia midfielder Joel Bwalya.
A makeshift Chipolopolo side toiled over two legs against Chad to draw 0-0 in Ndola and win 1-0 away in Cameroon to keep Zambia in the top two qualification bracket in Group G for the Morocco 2025 AFCON.
The results kept Zambia second in Group G with 7 points, two points less than Ivory Coast while Chad is last with 2 points from four games.
But Sierra Leone has 4 points after beating Ivory Coast 1-0 and is threatening Zambia’s position with two games left, with their last Group G fixture at home in Monrovia, Liberia against Chipolopolo.
Bwalya said in an interview that everyone wants to see Chipolopolo back at Afcon for a second successive time but it is sad to see less substance from our players.
