Chisanga wonders whether state is hiding JJ to create by-election

Lukashya member of parliament George Chisanga has questioned whether Speaker of the National Assembly Nellie Mutti has authority to declare a seat vacant without the Constitutional Court making a determination on the matter.
And Chisanga said Mutti ‘s decision to declare the Petauke Central seat vacant showed that institutions did not have regard for each other.
Two weeks ago, Mutti gave Petauke Central member of parliament Emmanuel Jay Banda a seven day ultimatum in which to report to the house failure to which his seat would be declared vacant following his absence from the house since August 2024.
But Chisanga said in an interview yesterday that parliament did not interfere in matters that were in court.

The state claims they have JJ in custody.
We are still waiting for them to avail him to the courts in Zambia on the charges of aggravated robbery of K200. An entire man with access to kasaka dunku from his bosses stole K200, according to UPND.

It’s a matter on which the Minister of Home Affairs & Internal Security Jack Mwiimbu had no business to disclose to the public. The disclosure amounted to poor judgment because this was an on-going Police operation which also involved help from a foreign country as Zambia Police have no right to arrest someone outside their jurisdiction. Zimbabwe may not have approved of the public disclosure of their role in arresting JJ Banda and probably decided to teach Zambia a lesson for not informing them before publicising the arrest. I think it’s a lesson learnt the hard way by Jack Mwiimbu.
Wrong thinking, ba Chisanga.Government and the people of Zambia want the man back to his country.Just help in bringing him back if you can.The idea of releasing fake imagination of government wanting to create by elections is unnecessary.What was in your mind when you heard that he was missing from his hospital bed?
