CHITAMBALA MWEWA, LIFTERY NDABA MEET FACE TO FACE
The Mayor of the Lusaka City Council, Chitambala Mwewa, and former Lusaka City Town Clerk, Liftery Ndaba, have met for the first time since the two took each other to court for defamation of character.
Ndaba had dragged businessman and media personality Simon Chitambala Mwewa to court, demanding damages for alleged defamatory statements published on the Facebook platform known as “Simon Mwewa Lane Television” (SMLTV).
In a Statement of Claim filed before the Lusaka High Court, Mr. Ndaba alleged that Mwewa authored, published, and disseminated a series of false and malicious statements accusing him of corruption and abuse of office.
