CHURCH SERVICE TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED AS MEMBERS LOCK UP CHURCH IN CHIPATA

Confusion erupted this morning at the Chipata’s United Church of Zambia UCZ All Saints Congregation as some members protested and locked up the Church.

The aggrieved members say they don’t want the church Reverend to be transferred.

Some Church leaders had to use the grinder to open the door at the gate.

By broadcast time, Church Leaders were locked up in a closed-door meeting while some members were roaming outside the church building.

There’s a possibility there will be no Church service today as some members are demanding to be addressed by their presbytery Bishop while others were seeing leaving.

Meanwhile, Congregation Secretary Amon Chulu who addressed Journalists after the meeting says the matter has been sorted out and that the grievances from members have been heard and forwarded to relevant authorities.

He says everything is back to normal and that the Church will operate normally.
