THIS IS HUGE: CNN legend Christiane Amanpour is walking away from the network after 43 years. It comes just weeks after Trump pal David Ellison took over CNN.

43 years. And she’s done.
On Monday, Amanpour, CNN’s chief international anchor, announced she’s leaving the network, according to Mediaite. She’ll end her daily shows at the end of this year and leave for good next June.
The timing is impossible to miss.
Earlier this month, David Ellison, a close Trump ally, closed an $81 billion buyout of Warner Bros. Discovery, putting CNN under the same ownership as CBS News.
Amanpour had already raised alarms. At a recent appearance in London, she spoke about the ideological shift at CBS News under Ellison and shared her concern about the future of her own network.
Now she’s leaving.
Think about who she is.
Amanpour covered the first Gulf War. She reported from Bosnia, Rwanda, Afghanistan, Ukraine and Iran. For four decades, she went where the truth was hardest to find and brought it home.
And in her farewell statement, she left everyone with a message that says it all: “always be truthful, not neutral.”
