COURT CONFIRMS KAMBUCHA PRODUCER LIQUIDATOR AS DEC LAUNCHES INVESTIGATIONS
The Kitwe High Court has confirmed the appointment of Liquidator for Gavi Beverage who are producers of the famous Elixir Kambucha.
The Judge made the order after the company and shareholders did not object to the application.
Gavi Beverage owes money to various creditors including taxes to ZRA, suppliers but it has millions hidden in the account of a private law firm – Isaac & Partners. Isaac & Partners law firm is owned by lawyers Mwenya Mukupa and Isaac Nonde. A named lawyer at the bank is said to have facilitated.
DEC has also taken up case to find out how Indo Zambia Bank secretly transfered the funds from company account to private law firm without instructions or board resolution.
A pity. Kombucha is a popular health drink in Europe and in South Africa. People with diabetes find it Mwaaaaa!
