Mike Waltz laid it out plainly on Hannity Tuesday night. Just hours after a Cuban official tried to muscle an American diplomat at the United Nations, Secretary of State Marco Rubio signed the order to throw him out of the country.
Waltz told viewers: “Just before I came on tonight, Secretary Rubio signed the paperwork to eject the diplomat that thought he could—the Cuban diplomat, the first secretary of their delegation—who shoved and tried to assault one of our American diplomats.”
He did not mince words about the timeline. “He’s gone. He is going to be on a plane to Havana within the next 24 hours.”
The move comes after a confrontation in the General Assembly where Cuban officials interrupted Waltz’s remarks on the regime’s corruption and approached the podium. Waltz pushed back hard, telling them this is not Havana and they would not silence the United States.
Waltz made the broader point clear: “You lay a hand on an American here in the United States, President Trump, Secretary Rubio, and myself, we’re not going to stand for it.”-DTP
