DAN PULE FACES ARREST FOR LAND FRAUD
CHRISTIAN Democratic Party (CDP) leader Danny Pule is facing possible arrest for criminal trespass for allegedly fraudulently acquiring in 2003 four hectares of land in Mwachindalo village under Chieftainess Mungule in Chibombo.
Dr Pule was interrogated for about an hour yesterday at Ngwerere Police Post, where a statement was recorded.
According to other documents obtained as well as police sources at Ngwerere, the said land belonged to Gabriel Mumba in 1999 before being sold to Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), whose chairman and chief executive officer is Pule, a former junior minister in second President Frederick Chiluba’s administration.
The land in question was two hectares under Mr Mumba but its size allegedly increased to four hectares under TBN, according to a police source.
