THE government and public sector unions have agree to suspend implementation of recoveries from money advanced to public sector employees in July and August as debt swap.
In a statement, the unions and government agreed to suspend the recovering following concerns from the employees.
Consequently, all monies deducted from
the employees will be refunded before the November salaries are processed.
“The parties further agree to continue
discussing the Debt Swap Scheme as agreed in the Collective Agreements 2021,” reads the statement signed by 15 unions.
“To this effect, all Public Sector employees are urged to remain calm and continue executing their duties as the matter is receiving due attention.”
