Patriotic Front PF Presidential Candidate Hon. Dr. Chitalu Chilufya says Zambians should not be deceived that caderism has ceased to exist.
And Dr. Chilufya says threats on journalists by political party cadres must come to an end .

“Today we see cadres storm media houses to remove opposition leaders. We see that and it’s there in public. No one has arrested those cadres… let us ensure that cadres who are misconducting themselves today and yesterday are brought to book,” he said.
Dr. Chilufya was speaking when he featured on MUVI TV’s Assignment program on Sunday.

Dr. Chilufya believes that there should be a code of conduct for cadres to ensure that they do not distort service delivery.
He shares the view that no party cadre must be allowed to harrass citizens, but was quick to mention that political parties must recognize their existence and promote decency among them.

“We must as parties recognize the existence of cadres and promote decency amongst cadres. We must have legitimate ways of looking after cadres. My view and my vision for the Patriotic Front party is to ensure that our people in the structures will have to have means to survive, to be looked after.” He said .

He said as the party looks at the welfare of it’s people , it should also ensure that there is no room for the harrassment of innocent citizens.
“We must ensure that people’s welfare within the party and outside the party…people’s welfare is very critical. As you look at party unity, people’s welfare within and outside the party is key and they should be no room for harassment of citizens by the party cadres either from the opposition or from the ruling party,” he said.

“But to state that we have resolved issues today, when we have social media clips that you can play here now of people in UPND regalia threatening journalists, you know, we cannot tolerate that.” He added .
