ECL BURIAL COURT CASE POSTPONED INDEFINATELY & MY APEAL TO PRESIDENT HH

So the Widow’s lawyer submitted this morning to the Pretoria High Court Judges that they no longer had jurisdiction (authority) to deliberate on the case because the defendant (Widow & 7 others) had taken the case to the Constitution Court. It’s a legal procedural requirement that the High Court steps aside or put the case on ice until determination or s ruling is made by the superior constitution court.
The Constitution court is yet to set a date of the hearing.
As I predicated last week; it’s going to be a long haul or journey on this matter. Been around corridors of Courts for a while now on different matters to be able to know so.
Meantime status quo will remain as is and wishes of the government that were granted in the High Court remain suspended until the matter is completed in the Constitution Court.
No winner situation and if anything we are still in a lose-lose for both sides and for the entire Country.
I am not in a position to render any advice to the family and on principle don’t think that mine or anyone’s role to do so. Based on our Zambian culture and what been accustomed to; it’s to respect to abide by wishes of the deceased person.
I am however on terra firma or firm grounds to render advice to the government and in essence President HH. They should give in to the family wishes and let them burry ECL as they please. If it’s in Zambia, let their wishes prevail on who can and can not attend. Whether or not there should be body viewing and who can or who can not.
Taking this matter like a football final game that has to have a winner and a loser, will not see an end or final whistle any time soon. It will only be the lawyers on both sides that will be laughing all the way to the Bank to withdraw their millions of Rands.
The family is using personal money while the government is using public money and which the problem here.
The unbudgted for money being or to be paid by the government can be used to buy 1 million 25Kgs bags of mealie meal to give free to Zambians wallowing in poverty out there. Alternately, that money can be used to buy not 70, but 70,000 cows to give free to the peasant farmers of Kalomo and Kazungula districts.

It’s like someone suffering from COVID and refuses to be quarantined. Even beating your own child EXCESSIVELY IT HAS LIMITS and public interest can come in if you over do it.

Now because of ubupuba bwabena Lungu family to keep on playing to the gallery, you are somehow resurrected and talking nothing but nonsense. This will not end well. Besides, their court cases are waiting for them after burial however long it takes. Umulandu taubola and this time there will be no mercy. Just learn from ‘why me’ situation. Miles Sampa should no longer give advice on this matter. He is never neutral. What makes sense to him is what is against government. Criminals are Criminals why sympathise with them. Viva govt position in this matter.
Lawyers need to buy more time. Lawyers understand each other’s egos. Almost all lawyers are fascinated by how much Makebi Zulu has made out of the fate of the lungu family, considering the period of his engagement in terms of the number of working hours he has so far taken. In this regarding, a newly hired advanced lawyer, has has also probably seen a special opportunity to make a fortune too like Makebi Zulu. He has to ensure that he also buys more time, through legal process. More adjournments, means more time. More time, means more hours and more hours, means more money. Makebi Zulu has already opened the gates. Has already shown other lawyers what to do, if they want to gain more from the lungu family. ,ie to deliberately prolong…. Makebi Zulu Seems to know the lungu family has a great heap of money which cannot easily diminish. I say this because Makebi Zulu has told the world that he is to ready to continue with the the case even for years. Maybe, he is also a financial controller for the family.
Your advice Mr Sampa is welcome,but lacks merits due to the fact that you did not do the same during your time in government together with ECL.Yiu you are biased on here.What is so special about Lungu? Infact Lungu is not even a popular figure amongst the presidents we have had! The pf of MC Sata is what we voted for on merits but as for ECL it was only the love we had for pf to which even you,had you gone through at your party convention, we where going to make you president as well.
People should look at the what if factor, we need to be sure we are correctly morning, therein lies the issue of identity. If I ask you miles, have you seen the body, even Sean Tembo who waits for the camera and microphone before screaming has not seen the body, so is Gunyu, Zayelo and the rest. It would be a mockery to government if the what if factor turns the other way. As per African tradition a body viewing is required.
