DR ECL HAS CALLED UPON PEOPLE NOT TO POLITICIZE THE NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER BECAUSE THE DAY WAS SET APART AS A DAY FOR ALL PEOPLE REGARDLESS OF THEIR POLITICAL AFFILIATION…..

The 6th Republican President, Dr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu this morning congregated at St. Theresa Catholic Church Chainda Parish to observe the National Day of Prayer, Fasting, Reflection and Reconciliation.

President Lungu encouraged the church to take advantage of this day by bringing people to focus on love, and have faith and trust in God.

He further called upon people not to politicize the National Day of prayer because the day was set apart as a day for all people regardless of their political affiliation.

Zambia is observing this day under the theme; “Zambia Seeks Sustained Unity for Shared Prosperity.”

The National Day of Prayer, Fasting, Reflection and Reconciliation was declared by President Dr. Edgar Changwa Lungu in 2015.
