POLICE in Chipata have discontinued investigations in the matter where a 56-year-old man of Madzimoyo area is alleged to have died whilst having s3x with a married woman after the family of the deceased decided not to do a postmodern.

Acting Eastern Province deputy police commanding officer Kennedy Chibwe said the family of Peter Chakolwa Mulendema of Chankhanga village in chief Madzimawe declined to do a post-mortem to ascertain the cause of death.

“When this matter happened, we instituted investigations trying to bring to book the woman to answer to some offences which might have been committed. Apparently when burial took place, the family members declined to have a post-mortem, which has put us in an awkward position to go ahead with the case,” Chibwe told The Mast in an interview.

“We can only establish the cause of the death if a post-mortem was conducted. In this case, police have put aside investigations and the matter has been closed.”

Mulendema died last week while, allegedly, having s3x with a married woman.
