Family planning is directly retarding the growth and development of Africa, says Dr Chris Zumani Zimba.

According to Zimba who is former President Edgar Lungu’s advisor, family planning has greatly contributed to Africa’s underdevelopment.

Meanwhile, Zimba saluted late former Tanzanian President John Magufuli for discouraging family planning, saying it is now bearing fruits for the country.

“A woman in Tanzania has 5 kids on average; at global level, it’s 2 kids per woman, Tanzania is on right track.

“If at all we aim to grow bigger and faster economically, militarily and politically as a continent, we need to encourage bigger families,” Dr Zimba said.

He said African and Muslim polygamy must be encouraged and supported as it stands better natural policy to foster population growth.

Dr Zimba has however called on Africans to resist and reject homosexuality as it kills the original purpose of marriage and family growth.
