FAMILY SHOCKED TO FIND WRONG DECEASED WOMAN DRESSED IN THEIR MOTHER’S CLOTHES AND WIG
A family in Detroit, Michigan, was left horrified after arriving at a funeral home to say their final goodbyes to their 61-year-old mother, Kimberly Moore, only to discover that the deceased woman lying in the coffin was a complete stranger.
Even more disturbing, the unidentified deceased woman had reportedly been dressed in Moore’s dress and wig and prepared with makeup for the viewing.
Moore’s daughter, Bianca Robinson, became suspicious after noticing that a distinctive mole normally found on her mother’s foot was missing.
The family says they were later informed that their mother’s body may have been mistakenly cremated following an apparent mix-up involving two women who arrived at the funeral home around the same time.
The Hutchison Funeral Home has apologized and launched an investigation into how the alleged mix-up occurred.
For the grieving family, what should have been a final opportunity to say goodbye has instead turned into a distressing search for answers about what happened to their mother’s remains.
