Flavio Bolsonaro Drops Election Annulment Push, Accuses Lula Regime of Street-Level Persecution

Flavio Bolsonaro has abandoned his earlier call for full annulment of the 2026 presidential runoff and is now taking a narrower fight to Brazil’s electoral court.

He confirmed he will seek cassation of the PT ticket over alleged abuse of economic and political power.

The move comes as Flavio publicly denounced what he called coordinated harassment by the Federal Police under Lula and Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes.

He said officers approached him on the street after a visit to his father, ordered him to surrender his passports, and informed him he is barred from leaving the country. He linked the action to a previous statement by his brother Eduardo.
