FLAVIO BOLSONARO FLEES LULA’S PERSECUTION, LANDS IN MIAMI
Flavio Bolsonaro touched down in Miami on October 28 after defying a Brazilian Supreme Court order to surrender his passports and leave the country amid active probes for corruption and money laundering.
The senator and son of jailed former president Jair Bolsonaro lost Brazil’s 2026 presidential race to incumbent Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, then exited via Argentina and Ecuador rather than face what supporters call a coordinated political hit job by the leftist government and its courts.
The Trump administration cleared entry visas for Flavio, his wife, and their daughters. He arrived at Opa-locka Executive Airport, where he was met by his brother Eduardo.
Jack Posobiec described the move as flight from “communist persecution,” a framing that matches the pattern of court actions against Bolsonaro allies since Lula returned to power.
