DISASTER AWAITS DISASTER MANAGEMENT AND MITIGATION UNIT
ARRESTS and prosecutions are looming at the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit – DMMU, sources have told THE PUNCH and revealed that former National Coordinator Chanda Kabwe may be arrested any day this week for alleged abuse of authority of office and theft.
And in apparent reference to Kabwe, President Hakainde Hichilema has warned his party members not to be desirous of being appointed to the DMMU just because they saw that the ‘previous person who was there was stealing money and building mansions’.
During his reign as DMMU National Coordinator, Kabwe was famous for election support in favour of the PF, by distributing relief food in areas where there are elections.
