FORMER MINISTER MOSES MAWERE ESCAPES GUN SHOTS

Former Sports Minister and former Chipata Central Member of Parliament, Moses Mawere escaped death when he was shot at two bullets missed him at Bonanza Golf Course near Ciera Resort.

This followed a scuffle with his former business partner, Craig Daka and fellow golfer.

After a round of golf, the two picked up a quarrel.

Mawere accused Daka of using Juju and accused him of allegedly causing the death of of his son recently.

This angered Daka who denied the allegations and threw a bottle at Mawere that missed him.

Later when Mawere was leaving the car park of Bonanza Golf Course, he just heard two gun shots that broke his rear windscreen for his vehicle.

Daka was identified as the perpetrator and locked up at Bonanza Police Post.

Bonanza Golf Club has since suspended both golfers for a period of six months.

It remains unknown why the Zambia Police released Daka and have not followed up the case of attempted murder against Craig Daka.
The incident occurred last month.

When contacted for comment, Police Spokesperson said he will follow up the report from Chelston Police Station about the incident.
