FOUR YEAR OLD BOY DIES AFTER BEING HIT BY SOLAR BATTERY MEANT TO HIT HIS MOTHER
A four-year-old boy has died after his father hit him with a prepaid solar battery which was meant to hit his mother as the two were having a dispute.
Given Masumba 38, is believed to have gone home from a drinking spree and started accusing his wife Gladys Masumba 25 of cheating on him.
In the process, he threw a solar prepaid battery at her which unfortunately landed on their four-year-old child’s back as he was wrapped in a chitenge on his mother’s back.
North-Western province Commanding officer Dennis Moola who confirmed the sad news to Mwebantu said the incident happened in Mwinilunga.
He said the murder was reported by the child’s uncle Methias Masumba who stated that his nephew Profias Masumba was murdered by his biological father.
“Acting on the report police rushed to the scene and found the body of the deceased lying in a kitchen and upon physical inspection of the body it was discovered with a swollen back. The suspect was already apprehended by the members of the public and later handed over to the police,” he said
