FUGITIVE DONOVAN GRAY ARRESTED
Police in Kitwe have arrested fugitive businessman Donovan Gray who has been on the run for over a year.
Mr. Gray, who is in the habit of being close to those in power to secure protection from his wrongdoing, has failed to get State House on his side on the case of altering documents and defrauding ZRA out of $16,000,000 for which he has been arrested after so much resistance and threats about his connections.
When police first made an attempt to arrest him, Mr. Gray, who is also an American citizen, locked himself in his house for 24 hours and threatened to shoot anyone who would enter.
However, Police obtained a search warrant to gain entry into his house and disarmed Mr. Gray.
He is currently detained at Kabwata Police Station.
Mr. Gray tried to extend his influence in the new dawn government by calling the Inspector General of Police for protection but police proceeded to effect arrest so that law takes its course because the country is governed by laws.
Mr Gray’s lawyers rushed to State House to seek his possible release from police custody.
Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga asked to be phoned later when called for a comment.
