In order to minimize marriage fraud
Ghana has launched Marrify, a digital platform that lets people check a prospective partner’s marital status before marriage.
Launched with Ghana’s Ministry of Gender and Social Protection, the platform also verifies marriage venues, pastors and licensed Imams.
It uses records from courts, assemblies and the Ghana Gazette.
