GILBERT PHIRI IS A LAWYER WHO REPRESENTED POLITICIANS BUT HE IS NOT A POLITICIAN – I HAVE NO DOUBT HE WILL DELIVER

I interacted with Gilbert Phiri on several occasions and I can safely say, he is not a politician as some people want to suggest just because he used to represent President Hichilema.

There are many good lawyers in this Country who have represented politicians but they are not politicians themselves. Gilbert Phiri is one of those lawyers.

I know Gilbert will be under pressure to appease the appointing authority, but I know, he has the courage to quote the President’s own words when he was being sworn-in, “Don’t arrest innocent people, investigate cases”.

I also know that Gilbert Phiri is too stubborn to look away when he sees corruption in the current regime, he will sort them out.

He is also a very good lawyer, so I don’t expect him taking half-baked cases to court. I am looking forward to convictions not the circus we have been witnessing.

So, if you want me to commend HH for an appointment, this is one of them. This guy is highly professional and he will shake ACC like never before.

I hope he will not disappoint me, but I will have no shame to hammer him right here and anywhere I can if he becomes compromised.

On Musa Mwenye (SC), I will give him the benefit of doubt, though he can be biased at times, however, he is not the investigator or the man to do the job of following criminals, that job rests on Gilbert Phiri and his team.
