PATRIOTIC Front acting President Given Lubinda says the recruitment of 30,000 teachers does not mean anything because Government has destroyed 150,000 jobs which were created through mobile money services.

Mr Lubinda said there is no need for the new dawn administration to boast about creating 30, 000 jobs when it has sent a huge number of youths on the streets.

He said the UPND must realise that Zambians will only appreciate what it has done when youths who have been sent on the streets are allowed to conduct their business.

Mr Lubinda said the private sector was the major employer, therefore, the UPND need to support the sector so that the wellbeing of youths can be uplifted.

And Mr Lubinda said for any economy to thrive, there is need to provide a conducive environment in which the private sector can operate from.

He said in the recent past the country has done extremely well in bringing financial services by embracing the mobile money service, but this narrative will change because of the path the current administration has taken.

He said the 150, 000 mobile money operators who had been sent on the streets have been at the centre of bringing financial services to people in far flung areas. -Daily Nation
