GRADE THREE GIRL HAS BEEN DEFILED BY STEP FATHER AGED 74, INFECTED WITH AN STI

February 13, 2023 – Police in Chirundu recieved a report in which a 12-year-old girl was defiled by her Stepfather aged 74 and her Stepbrother aged 24.
The incident is suspected to have occurred on February 9, 2023 at unknown time in Chief Chipepo’s area in Chirundu District. Police recieved the report on February 12, 2023 around 13:00 hours.
Brief Facts are that the victim who is in Grade Three at a named Primary School in Chirundu District was noticed exhibiting strange behavior while in class. When the Class Teacher went close to her, the girl was smelling badly and further investigations while at school revealed that her private parts had sores.
She was taken to a Health Post where she was diagnosed with S*xually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and later the matter was reported to Police where investigations revealed that the girl was abused by her stepfather and her stepbrother.
The victim is currently admitted to the Hospital where she is undergoing treatment and the two suspects are detained in Police custody.
Investigations into the matter have intensified.
