Former member of the opposition Democratic Party Clinton Simbeye has told Chete FM news the resignation of Harry Kalaba isn’t cowardice.
Mr Simbeye says there was wider consultation before the former Foreign Affairs Minister stepped down.
“A new political party is coming very soon! We’ll continue mobilising under HK Movement,” he says.
Mr Kalaba resigned today at his residence after 11 months of fights with his former running mate Judith Kabemba about who was to lead after the August 2021 elections.
He accuses the ruling UPND of causing the internal differences — a claim that has repeatedly been denied. S
