The Democratic party through an emergency central committee meeting have Reaffirmed the position of Harry Kalaba as the party president.
DP National secretary Jawis Chabi says Mr Kalaba was dully elected as president of the Democratic party at a convention held last year.
He further says the Democratic party National Commitee has with immediate effect suspended their Vice President Judith Kabemba, National Treasure Justine and Mr Evans Chilambwe for gross indiscipline and have been issued exculpatory letters.
Mr Chabi however confirms that Mr Kalaba has appointed some senior former Patriotic Front members into the national committee through his powers in the constitution with hopes of growing the party but has dispelled allegations of mismanagement of party funds.
Meanwhile Mr Kalaba says the Democratic Party will handle its challenges smoothly and that He will not tolerate any indiscipline as party president.- Prime TV
