“HE BETTER NOT TRY IT UNDER MY COMMAND”: NATO MILITARY CHIEF WARNS PUTIN
NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe, General Alexus Grynkewich, told Reuters on September 24 that a limited Russian attack on NATO territory is “unlikely, but we cannot rule it out.”
Asked whether Russian President Vladimir Putin might see an opportunity to test NATO while the United States has used significant portions of its stockpiles of long-range precision missiles during the war with Iran, Grynkewich responded:
«“Absolutely not. He better not try it under my command.”»
The NATO commander said the alliance is prepared to defend its territory against potential threats.
NATO is also intensifying intelligence-sharing amid a series of sabotage incidents that Western officials have linked to Russia. Moscow has denied involvement in such activities.
