HEGSETH FIRES LEAKING GENERAL WHOSE SON CHEERED CHARLIE KIRK ASSASSINATION

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has fired Army Lieutenant General Brett Sylvia for severe misconduct after an investigation found he leaked classified information on the Iran War, the war between Russia and Ukraine, and more.

A senior Pentagon official told investigative journalist Laura Loomer that Sylvia, who served as Director for Strategy, Plans and Policy on the Joint Staff, began meeting journalists outside the building to bypass escort rules and pass secrets. He failed three polygraphs questioning him about the leaks. The probe remains open and has been referred to the Department of Justice. The official said the leaking grew so critical that Hegseth fired him immediately to protect national security.

This is not a routine personnel move. Sylvia was the second general removed from the J-5 job under Hegseth. Mainstream outlets report the ouster without explanation while noting Hegseth has pushed out more than two dozen senior officers. Conservative sources inside the building say the reason is clear: leaks that undermine American strategy at a moment when Iran strike options are on the table.

The family pattern is hard to ignore. Last year, after Charlie Kirk was assassinated, Loomer exposed Sylvia’s son Gavin, a he/him data analyst at FEMA. Gavin posted that flags should not fly at half-staff for “the literal racist homophobe misogynist.” DHS confirmed he was placed on administrative leave. A FEMA spokesperson called the words revolting and unconscionable. Celebrating the death of a fellow American has no place in federal service.

The apple does not fall far from the tree. A general under investigation for leaking secrets to the press and a son who mocked the assassination of a leading conservative voice both worked inside the government. Hegseth acted on the father. Accountability for the son followed Loomer’s reporting. National security cannot tolerate either.

Sources: Statements from senior Pentagon officials provided to Laura Loomer and echoed by Jack Posobiec; reports from The Atlantic, The Hill, and Associated Press confirming the firing and Hegseth’s broader removals of senior officers; Fox News and DHS confirmation of Gavin Sylvia’s administrative leave after his Instagram post on Charlie Kirk.
