Houthis Claim Precision Strike on Saudi Defense Ministry in Riyadh
Yemen’s Houthi movement claims it carried out a precision strike against the Saudi Ministry of Defense headquarters in Riyadh, as the group announced a new wave of attacks targeting strategic sites across the kingdom.
Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the operations involved ballistic missiles and drones, describing the alleged strike on the defense headquarters as successful.
The announcement came amid escalating hostilities between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia, following a deadly attack on King Fahd International Airport in Dammam that killed two people and injured eight.
Saudi authorities have not confirmed that the Defense Ministry headquarters was hit, and no independently verified evidence of damage to the facility has emerged.
The claim marks a further escalation in the confrontation, with the Houthis warning of additional military action if Saudi operations against the group continue.
