HPCZ SETS NEW DATES FOR CANCELLED LICENSURE EXAMINATIONS

…. which were cancelled on 22nd September 2023 following a security breach

Lusaka, Thursday 5th October 2023

The Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) has set new dates for registered candidates to sit the Professional Licensure Examinations (LEX) which were cancelled on 22nd September 2023 following a security breach.

The rescheduled Professional Licensure Examinations will run from Monday, 13th to Tuesday, 21st November 2023 in Lusaka and Ndola simultaneously.

All registered candidates will write both theory and practical examination papers respectively, to be administered physically at designated centres.

HPCZ Chief Executive Officer Professor Fastone Goma however, says candidates who were registered to write the Professional LEX from Livingstone are advised to choose either Lusaka or Ndola centres as there will be no examinations conducted in Livingstone.

“Detailed LEX timetables will be available in due course. HPCZ would like to assure all stakeholders and the general public that investigations into the cause of the leakage of September LEX papers have progressed with the help of Government Agencies and the Zambia Police Service. The outcome will be communicated once the process is concluded,” said Prof Goma.

He also said HPCZ has continued to work on mechanisms to enhance the security and credibility of the Professional Licensure Examinations as the Council desires to license only qualified and competent health professionals who will contribute to the provision of quality healthcare services.
