HUMAN BODY PARTS RECOVERED IN CROC STOMACH
Remains suspected to belong to a 23-year-old woman of Luangwa District who was on Wednesday attacked and swallowed by a crocodile have been found and were scheduled to be buried today.
The crocodile was located, killed and had its belly ripped open on the same day at around 23:00 hours – where only a thigh, a foot and intestines were found.
Deputy Police Public Relations Officer Danny Mwale tells Byta FM Zambia that the deceased identified as Evelyn Tembo of Siawafumbi village in Luangwa District was attacked while she was fishing in Kakalo stream around 07:00 Hours.
He narrates that the deceased while in the company of others were fishing at the stream where she was attacked by the crocodile.
Mwale says community members were alerted and immediately launched a search for the crocodile.
