NOT ADOPTED-GOD’S WILL AND NOT MINE
So I pretty much knew my fate last week. Out of respect some of my leaders that care for me did reach out and confided in me that I was not going to be adopted this time around and I accepted.
I came into this race fully aware that there were only two answers at the end of it all,A Yes and a No therefore my husband asked me to only go into the accepting that fact and I did.
Am I disappointed? Definitely yes and rightly so.I put in my best as a young female politician who was also a wife and mother on top of that and I believe I did through out the process whilst holding onto my integrity and moral values and that is why this to me is God’s will.
I know I needed to take in all the lessons I have taken so far and I know I have so much more to go through good or bad as part of my political destiny.Destiny that can only be delayed but will never be denied.
To my party UPND allow me to thankyou for giving me the platform to grow in politics .I would also further like to thank my choice of president Hakainde Hichilema for the opportunity,encouragement and counsel that you always find time from your busy schedule to give me.I take them all to heart with honor.
To my husband, my four children ,my fathers,my mothers,friends and relatives that supported me on this journey,I can never thankyou enough for believing in me.
I am a leader,parliament may miss out on my voice for now but the nation will still hear of me and when the time is right I know God will make a way.
And now the big question,What Next? I say the works officially begins now to fight for a better Zambia and yes under UPND ALLIANCE and my choice and still is president Hakainde Hichilema .
So to those that were spreading rumors of me defecting or going independent from both within UPND and other political parties,here is the truth, I will not
do no such thing .I have dedicated the last 8 years of my life to Upnd and will not stop now because of not being adopted,I chose to be Upnd and only me can go but for now I am fine and this adoption process was processed ,prayed for and accepted on last week and it’s not enough to get me down.
I am Benny Tetamashimba’s Daughter and that means I have a duty to uphold my fathers legacy and for those that knew Teta know for a fact that that blood can never be kept down.
