Imprisoned former Information minister Chishimba Kambwili’s wife, Carol, says she would not categorise her husband’s release from prison as a pardon because he has already served his five-month sentence.
Speaking with Daily Revelation today, Carol said Kambwili could be released before October 25, 2025 owing to the fact that the day falls on the weekend.
Information has swirled around that Kambwili could be among those who would be ‘pardoned’ for release from prison on Independence Day, October 24, 2025.

CK doesn’t need to be pardoned. He has served his sentence period.

It’s GBM who was pardoned and was released, CK has served his sentence and he has to leave the prison and should not mistaken by a pardon. How do you pardon someone who has already served his sentence? It doesn’t make any sense. In few days’ time, CK will be a free man after serving his sentence for five months, just check his sentence and see what it states, the wife herself is confirming that he has served his five month sentence, so whether pardoned or not he has to be released. The story of being pardoned is a concocted story just to suit the propagandists and haters. HH loves CK as he demonstrated when CK came back from a self imposed exile in Zimbabwe, HH evacuated him to South Africa where he received good medical treatment, CK himself appreciated and thanked the president.
