“I WOULDN’T JEOPARDIZE MY LEGACY FOR A RETIREMENT PUBLICITY STUNT” – MACKY 2
Award winning artiste, Macky 2, who announced his intention to retire from actively making and releasing music, has reiterated to those who doubt his motive to hang his gloves that his decision is not for promotional reasons as alleged.
King Buga was speaking during a special Diamond TV interview with Chimweka at the 2022 PR Girl Media Champagne Picnic event where he emphasized that he realizes the influence he has and wouldn’t jeopardize the legacy he has built for a publicity stunt.
The rapper’s retirement comes at the same time as the release of what he said will be his last album (Olijaba) and the premiere of a reality show (King Buga) featuring his close friends and family.
However, during the interview, Macky 2 disclosed that he will sometimes come out of retirement if the numbers involved appeal to him. This goes along with another statement he made after what was dubbed as his last performance on the 5th of June, 2022, where he mentioned that he plans on embarking on a nation-wide tour, inspired by the response from the event.
