MY K10 BREAKFAST – LIFE IS HARD BANE

I can assure you that when I will be President I will be stopping the entire Presidential motorcade just to buy something from the streets because, it is more than just getting something on the streets, I was brought up and educated by street vending.

My grandmother used to grow vegetables (she called it Kalateni) and sell them on the streets.

My late uncle (Nkolemba) who showed me Lusaka came to sell small items like combs and mirrors on Freedom way. He used to stay in Matero, “PaBridge”.

During holidays I would come to join him for me to raise money for books. I used to sell with him and I was only getting “Koko” (the top on the real price).

We eat food from the streets and it tasted so good. My favourite was beans and rice from town centre, because we couldn’t afford beef of chicken.

My mother brewed Kachasu to buy me uniforms.

This is why I feel very sad when I see people like Garry Nkombo treat those people like nothing.

Anyway, today I feel bad because even this food on the streets is very expensive these days.

Imagine one sizeable sweet potato is costing K2, a piece of it fried is K1 while roasted small pack of groundnuts is K2. One table spoon of sugar is K1. A tea bag is K2.

If I say Bally is a failure, you call me names and report me at Lukulu police station.

Useless and senseless dictators you are.
