“Iran Cannot Bring America to Its Knees,” Says Former Tehran Mayor
Former Tehran Mayor Gholamhossein Karbaschi has acknowledged that Iran’s military capabilities cannot match those of the United States, calling for an end to the war through negotiations.
Speaking on Iranian state television, IRIB, Karbaschi said that despite claims that Iran is inflicting significant damage on the United States, the consequences for Iran itself and its population have been far greater.
“We can bring in experts every day to say that we are making America suffer, but the reality is that we cannot achieve that,” Karbaschi stated.
“The damage we have inflicted on the United States is not comparable to the losses suffered by our own country and our people. Fundamentally, our capabilities and resources are not comparable to those of America,” he added.
Karbaschi, who previously served as Tehran’s mayor and secretary-general of the Executives of Construction Party, argued that negotiations offer a path toward ending the conflict, highlighting the disparity between the military capabilities of the two countries.
