IRAN FIRES ON US FIGHTER AND DOWNS DRONE OVER HORMUZ AS EMBASSIES WARN AMERICANS OF RAPID ESCALATION

Iran just shot at an American F/A-18 Super Hornet over the Strait of Hormuz and brought down a U.S. MQ-9 Reaper near Qeshm Island. Washington responded with strikes on Iranian air-defense launchers. Now U.S. embassies across the Middle East are sounding the alarm.

The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem told Americans to find the nearest shelters and download Israel’s Home Front Command app. Parallel alerts went to missions in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain. The warnings, first reported by Ynet, cite possible airspace closures, flight disruptions, and a rapid escalation in hostilities.

Iranian military sources confirmed the Reaper was destroyed by their integrated air-defense network. Tehran has already warned of a possible response, either overt or covert.

This is the latest in a string of direct Iranian attacks on U.S. assets in the world’s most critical oil chokepoint. Days earlier, American forces hit radar and missile sites on Qeshm after Iranian units fired surface-to-air missiles at U.S. aircraft. Each time the regime probes, American pilots and drones are the targets. Each time, the risk to shipping lanes and energy markets rises.

The embassy notices make the stakes plain for ordinary Americans living and working in the region. The message from Jerusalem is simple: prepare for the worst. Iranian forces are actively engaging U.S. military aircraft and unmanned systems in international airspace. The Strait of Hormuz is not a free-fire zone for the Islamic Republic.

Strength stops these probes. Continued restraint only invites the next missile.
