IRAN RELEASES NUCLEAR EMERGENCY SURVIVAL GUIDELINES FOR CITIZENS

Iranian authorities have reportedly released an eight-minute public safety video outlining survival measures for citizens in the event of a nuclear explosion, as tensions between Tehran, Washington and Tel Aviv continue to escalate.

According to India Today, the video provides instructions on how civilians should respond to a nuclear blast and protect themselves from its immediate effects and potential radioactive fallout.

The guidance reportedly advises citizens to:

• Seek shelter: Move immediately into a sturdy basement or underground shelter.
• Close windows: Shut all windows and doors to limit exposure to radioactive particles.
• Switch off ventilation systems: Turn off outdoor air-conditioning units and other ventilation systems that could draw contaminated air indoors.
• Remain indoors: Stay inside a secure shelter for at least 24 hours, or until authorities provide further instructions.

For people caught outdoors during a nuclear explosion, the guidance reportedly warns them:

• Never look directly at the initial flash of the explosion, as it can cause severe eye injuries.
• Drop to the ground, cover the head and exposed skin, and take shelter as quickly as possible once the immediate blast danger has passed.

The reported public awareness campaign highlights growing concerns in Iran about the possibility of a wider military confrontation and the potential consequences for civilians.

However, the release of emergency preparedness guidance does not, by itself, confirm that a nuclear attack is imminent or that the United States intends to use nuclear weapons against Iran.n
