IT IS NOT THE DUTY OF THE MOBILIZATION COMMITTEE TO CHOOSE OR IDENTIFY CANDIDATES
…as President Edgar Lungu directs PF Secretary General Hon. Davies Mwila and Mobilization National Chairman Honourable Richard Musukwa to quickly convene a meeting to resolve the friction between party structures and the Mobilization Committees.

who is also the Patriotic Front Party President,
has assured the PF party structures on the Copperbelt and the nation that the friction that is there between the Mobilization Committee and the structures will be resolved very soon.
President Lungu has since directed the PF Secretary General Hon. Davies Mwila, the Chairman of the PF party MCC Samuel Mukupa and Mobilization National Chairman to quickly call for a meeting and give clear terms of reference.
President Lungu said the Mobilization Committee needs to work with the elected structures, just like the structures need to embrace and work with the Mobilization adhoc committee to grow the party. Your Job is support PF MPs, Mayors and councillors because they have a mandate don’t start positioning yourself in the name of Mobilization and getting members from the party structures.
President Lungu said this in Mpongwe and Lufwanyama when he addressed party members.
President Lungu is on a three day working visit to the Copperbelt where he has inspected developmental projects in Masaiti, Mpongwe and Lufwanyama Districts respectively.
The PF President and Republican President said the party needs to develop the spirit that it’s founding President Mr. Micheal Sata had.
“To those that lost elections at Provincial, District and Constituency levels! Now you are lack that you have been co-opted in the Mobilization Committee don’t use this committee to settle scores we will remove you. But I want to tell you that Mobilization Committee should work with structures. It is not the duty of the Mobilization Committee to choose or identify candidates in constituencies and wards,” said President Dr. Lungu.
“It is not the duty of the Mobilization to be choosing candidates for 2021, but it is the duty of the structures to recommend to the Central Committee for possible consideration on the recommended names. Let me emphasis the need for team work in order to have more numbers because politics is about numbers. The Mobilization is not about the individual, but the party. Those that lost elections should not take a confrontational approach and start undermining elected officials.”
President Dr. Lungu also encouraged party structured officials to be embracing new members.
“Be like like the Church that welcomes everyone and ensures that they are converted. Let us develop the spirit that Mr. Sata had,” he said
“You need to emulate the tolerance of our founding President Mr. Micheal Sata. PF is the party of choice and everyone wants to be a part of the PF.”
President Dr. Lungu said organising the party does not need one to have money.
The PF Party President said the Mobilization Committee should mobilize members outside the party.
“I become President not because of money, but patience and humility. GOD’S time is always the best.The Mobilization Committee needs to mobilize outside the party. Mobilization is an adhoc committee but structures are Seniors as elected officials,” President Lungu said.
” Let me end by saying Discipline is key. I am speaking as President of the party PF and President of the Republic of Zambia. I will not allow indiscipline in the party at all levels. Be like the Football referees that gives warning before a Yellow or Red card to ensures smooth follow of the game. Let us develop the spirit that Mr. Sata had, even me if l didn’t have a big heart some people wouldn’t have been around me.” he said.
President Lungu will depart for Lusaka on Sunday after his three day working visit on the Copperbelt Ndola Rural.
