IT WAS AN HONOUR TO ATTEND HH INAUGURATION – BOKO
PRESIDENT of Botswana, Duma Boko, says he was deeply honoured to attend the inauguration of President Hakainde Hichilema today.
Mr Boko, who was among five visiting heads of State to receive the loudest cheers from the ecstatic audience in the fully packed 60,000 capacity stadium, has wished Mr Hichilema prosperity.
“Congratulations to my dear brother, His Excellency President Hakainde Hichilema, on his inauguration as President of the Republic of Zambia.
“It is a great honour to stand with the people of Zambia on this important occasion and to celebrate the continued leadership of a brother, a neighbour and a valued partner,” he wrote.
Mr Boko said it was his hope that President Hichilema’s renewed mandate would bring greater prosperity, unity and progress to the people of Zambia.
“Botswana stands ready to continue strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between our two nations,” Mr Boko wrote on his Facebook page.
