JOE BIDEN ISSUES ‘FULL AND UNCONDITIONAL’ PARDON FOR SON HUNTER
(BBC) US President Joe Biden has issued an official pardon for his son Hunter, who was set to face sentencing this month on federal felony gun and tax convictions.
It comes as the Democratic president had previously said he would not pardon his son or commute his sentence.
But on Sunday evening, President Biden said although he believed in the justice system, “politics has infected this process and it led to a miscarriage of justice.”
Hunter Biden pleaded guilty to tax charges earlier in September, and was found guilty of being an illegal drug user in possession of a gun in June – becoming the first child of a sitting president to be a convicted of a crime.
President-elect Donald Trump has called the pardon an “abuse and miscarriage of justice.”
President Joe Biden did well to pardon his son Hunter.He could not wait for Trump to do that because it was not going to happen.Mr Biden is old now he needs to be given support by his children.It doesn’t make sense to pardon other people and leave your own child.
These are the consequences for electing Donal Trump. There is no longer the need for the DEMS to hold a higher moral ground when the country has elected a convicted felon for a president. Anything goes hence forth…well done Joe!
